The gift

Once upon a time there was a princess. She was beautiful and she believed that her beauty would last for ever. She treated people bad, because she thought that nobody could be cross with her, because of her beauty. One day she came to a place in the forest where she had never been before. It was very quiet and dark, but then a light appeared and she saw the most beautiful butterfly. She wanted to capture him, but when she tried to grab him he flew away. She heard a faint voice that spoke: Didn't you know that beauty is something you cannot hold?

I tried to let this butterfly look somehow like the one in Linda Bergkvist fanastic painting "Ungentle, gentle", but I failed. I must say, it was the first butterfly I painted ever and for now, I cannot do any better. Hope to improve.

Done entirely in Photoshop. I used some of Natascha Roeoesli's brushes. Thank you very much, Natascha. They were a big help.
Comments and critics most welcome.

Adolescence in renaissance

My idea was to show a young girl in the renaissance century, wondering what faith has chosen for her. The cloister, an apprenticeship in the nearby town or even a marriage?

My thanks to Gitte (the photographer) who inspired me to this title.

Underworld

The idea was to create a city which is partially beneath the earth, with a touch of venetian charme and with some mysterious atmosphere. One says it is abandoned, but I think there is alot of going on, if one knows where to go.
I am sure this could have been done better with a modelling programm, but I don't have any. So this is completly done with primitives and tons of boleen operations.
In the end I thought that a vertical format should work better, but I would have had to add much more buildings to make it look good and my simple Vue5 was already busy enough with 196,469 polygones and the volumetric light.
I am very looking forward to your comments and critics for I am here to learn. Sorry for my bad english.

Underworld Doll

Thank you for your nice words on my first post.
This is a close-up of my "Underworld". I know the doll looks quite lost in this strange world. But I assure you, she can defend herself. Who knows - she may even be looking for victims. I imagine her as a sort of machine constructed by a mad scientist. I really don't know what she was programmed for. I leave this up to your imagination.
The girl is Aiko modified by me. Hair, make-up, cloths and accessoires were painted afterwards on Wacom in Photoshop.
Comments and critics welcome.
The girl is Aiko from Poser. Dress, hair and sandals were painted afterwards in Photoshop.
